I have the forum setup to auto prune users every 6 months. It will remove ANY user that has not logged in since the last prune. It will also remove any user that has ZERO post count that has been registered for 30 days. If you have not logged in in over 6 months and you can not get logged in, that is why. Recreate the username and STAY active. I do this so that our statistics are accurate. I will generaly send out a reminder one week before the prune to give you a chance to get here and make a post.

So if I log in and read around, but don't post anything every 30 days, it boots me?

No. It auto deletes users that have not logged in within 6 months. Logging in is all at takes. It will delete any users with ZERO post ( new users within the 6 months that NEVER posted)
I have always had it setup this way. Alot of other forums do it aswell. On the last prune we went from 637 users to just over 300. Time before that we had over 1000 and dropped to 400. It does it so I can keep track of the numbers. Statistically the wiste has lost alot of active usersover the last 2 years.

Ok, so that would be those that sign up and never did anything. Gotcha..
Yeah, I like to lurk around a lot, gathering bits of info here and there for my projects...
